My Husband Kevin has recently become wheelchair bound. We were looking for a way to be able to transport in the car as Handicap van company's are very expensive and we were paying over $1200.00 a month to get him back and fourth to Dialysis 3 times a week. We were given Access Unlimited's business card. I called and was greeted by very helpful courtesy people who immediately sent me to a link of their products with demonstrations on how to use them. We were so excited. We purchased the vehicle lift and it has been such a blessing! Kevin is now able to get out and go to stores, family events, etc. Our lives have changed for the better and we cannot thank Access Unlimited enough for the care and time that they put forward to giving Kevin back a little freedom.

I am the one who always reads the reviews, but I never write one. I hope my story will be helpful to someone who needs help with lifting a loved one. Twenty years ago a beautiful two year old happened into my life at a time when ‘I needed her as much as she needed me’. She came without instruction but we managed by God’s grace and the help of the many family, friends and professionals.  In the beginning, she was so small I carried her everywhere. An umbrella stroller was all I needed. I celebrated every ounce gained, and every tiny achievement was a milestone. Yahoo!  As the years passed she continued to grow in height and weight. My back was paying a great price for all this stress and strain. Getting her in and out of the van was my biggest challenge. Ashlynn’s Physical Therapist had researched Access Unlimited and thought the multi-lift they offered might be just what I needed.  So the multi-lift was installed in my 2004 Nissan Quest. I was a happy camper! However, the umbrella stroller became a tilt-in-space wheelchair, with a high back and head rest. It became too heavy and unmanageable for getting in and out of the van. I finally purchased a wheelchair accessible van. I was still lifting her around the house and when she needed surgery for rods in her back, I was told I shouldn’t be ‘scooping’, her anymore. Her length and my shorter stature really made for an unsafe combination for both of us. I called Access Unlimited and had a helpful, informative, conversation with Tom. I could use the multi-lift from the van in the house. They installed a wall mount beside her bed. I bring her bath chair, commode and wheelchair to her bedside!!!!. She is lifted in and out of bed a minimum of 10-12 times a day. She can shower EVERY day, she is on the commode at least three times a day, has a rest in the afternoon and up again to be with family until bedtime. The pediatric lift pads were so comfortable and gave great support for her head and neck that I kept them long after she had outgrown them. Finally, I did call and Walt helped me select the adult size appropriate for her. I like that the new stays are flexible. This new lift pad somehow helps her to lift her head on her own. I can’t explain that but it’s nice. There is a training video that I found very informative. Even if you know how to use the product the training videos are important.  The staff is friendly and eager to understand your needs. They know their product well enough to match you with the right product and just the right person to help you. I am quite overwhelmed by the impact this multi-lift has had on my daughter’s ability to participate in life well beyond her bed, bedroom and home. I am grateful!!!

Distance and Borders are no barriers to top notch customer service. We live in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. When I started my research on Google into transportation options for my wife recently confined to a wheelchair, I came across an interesting lift adaptable to any vehicle. No need to buy another vehicle. No need for expensive vehicle alterations. It so peaked my interest that I send off an email
requesting further info. Thus began my relationship with Access Unlimited. My request for information was responded to the next day by a telephone call from the gentleman who developed the product. It was very clear that the interests and needs of the client was foremost. The subsequent service, interest and courtesy extended to me by reception, Customer Care, Production and Training has been extremely impressive to say the least. Throughout the order process, the manufacture of our unit, shipping and training for its proper use, every aspect was given priority. We now have our Multi Lift and custom Speedy Bars for two vehicles. We are thrilled with this product and once again, We have our freedom to travel in our own vehicle. It takes five minutes and 'We're on the road again". Thank You to Tom Egan and the Access Unlimited Family

IIn 2012 my wife Karen was diagnosed with Primary Progressive Aphasia, a disease of the brain. Subsequent diagnoses includes Alzheimer’s in the communication area of the brain, Dementia, Parkinsonism and Incontinence. She is now 66 and I am 76.
At first she had problems with words, as the malady progressed, she lost the use of her right arm/hand, then her ability to walk started to be affected. I replaced my Ford F350 with a Jeep Wrangler and installed electric running boards to assist her getting in and out. She was able to walk while shopping by holding on to the shopping cart. That eventually changed and had to get her a transport wheel chair to get around.
She was still able to step up on the running board and with my assist was able to be seated and likewise get out of the vehicle to the wheel chair. On March 12, 2015 that stopped and she just collapsed face down on the seat with her legs on the inside of the running board rail. It took me 10 minutes to get her untangled from the running board and into the seat. She was upset and I was totally exhausted.
That night I went online and started searching. After reviewing about 12 assist devices, I zeroed in on the Multi-Lift made by Access Unlimited. I spent several days researching the Multi-Lift. Going to the Access Unlimited website and reading all of the material on it and its accessories. Then I reviewed their videos of the Multi-Lift in action on numerous vehicles and especially the videos they had on Jeep Wranglers. Finally I filled out their form to find the nearest dealer and got a call from a salesperson who gave me a lot of information about the product and its use.  I had some detailed questions and later I got a call from Tom Egan the President and founder of the company. We had a very long conversation and he answered all of my questions and concerns. He gave me the confidence that the Multi-Lift is what I needed for Karen. I bought it on March 20, 2015 and it was shipped on 04/01/15 and arrived 04/08/15. Once it arrived, Access Unlimited’s Frank Egan called to help me set it up and to adjust the general purpose sling that carries Karen from the wheel chair to the car seat and vice versa. During the course of research, questions about the product and assistance with the installation, I spoke with and traded emails with about 6 or 7 people at Access Unlimited and all were very cordial, helpful and prompt with phone and email replies. I called them about a part that was damaged in shipping. There was no hassle, the part was air expressed and I got it the next day….no charge.
They all seem to be like one happy family and it is a pleasure doing business with them. Today I feel that I am a member of that family.
The Multi-Lift can is also a “Personal Transfer Lift for the Home” by using special wall mounts made by Access Unlimited.

I bought the Multi-Lift for assistance with getting Karen in and out of the Jeep and with the inevitable use in the home as her disease progresses. She is now at the point of needing the Multi-Lift in the house.

Access Unlimited has a large variety of special purpose Multi-Lift slings to select from. It comes with a general purpose sling and I will be getting the two piece sling for toilet usage. This sling allows for clothing to be removed before sitting on the toilet and put back when finished.

The Multi-Lift has been a Godsend to help Karen regain some mobility and ease my lifting tasks. The equipment is well engineered, heavy duty and built to last and it is made in the USA right there in the little “Keebler Factory” in Binghamton, New York.

Overall my experience with the Multi-Lift and Access Unlimited has been great and I am glad my research led me there. I do not know how many people work at Access Unlimited, but all that I have dealt with are super, caring, understanding, have great people skills, know and believe in their products AND IT SHOWS!

Access Unlimited is an outstanding company. It took me a while to find this lift system for the car on-line and when I finally found Tom and his company I was thrilled. The company hand held me through the entire process and training. My 90 year old Dad safely gets out of the nursing home every Saturday for a drive. It is a big relief for my Mum who doesn't worry any more about getting my Dad into the car. It was such a hit at his nursing home that two more families purchased the lift. Access Unlimited has "best in class" customer service and they make a quality product. We have had the car lift for a year and are very happy with the product. Thanks, Tom!!

From the first phone call to today everyone that is part of this company has been such a great pleasure to work with. As an incomplete quadriplegic needing to ride in our pickup the multi-lift seems to be the answer. I am always skeptical when purchasing a new item sight unseen from a company we ve never heard of particularly at the expense it is. I would recommend these people and products to anyone. They take their time to be sure you are getting the right product and we loved the skype training. I can t wait to share it with my friends in Orlando!

My wife has MS and is pretty much confined to a wheelchair. Getting her into the car was a real chore and tough on my back. The Easy Reach has changed all of that. The Access Unlimited folks came to the house, picked up the van, and had it back within a week with the lift installed. Every one that sees it in operation comments and wants to know all about. It has really opened things up for us.
